• Applying for Aid

     

    1. Apply to Kuyper College for free at Kuyper.edu/applynow
      For priority scholarship consideration, we recommend applying in time to be accepted by January 1, however Kuyper accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applications received after that date will be processed with financial aid as long as funding is available.

       
    2. Apply for Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. 
      The FAFSA is available online January 2, 2014 for Fall 2014 student applicants. This is the doorway to government assistance in paying for your higher education. There is a priority deadline of March 1 for Michigan residents. Check with your state government to find out the priority deadlines if you are not a Michigan resident. We will use the information provided by the FAFSA to award scholarships, grants and loans.You may submit the FAFSA after the priority deadline, but for full consideration, please adhere to the priority date.

       
    3. Register for your PIN (electronic signature) at www.pin.ed.gov.
      Your electronic signature for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that you select. A PIN must be obtained individually for the student and, if applicable, for a parent of the student. The FAFSA is not processed electronically without the four digit identifier.

       
    4. You may receive a request from us for more information.  Please reply as quickly as possible so we can provide you with the best award package possible.

       
    5. Award letters will be sent out beginning in March or after all of the required information has been received.

    Canadian students who have dual citizenship in the United States will qualify for U.S . Government aid.  If you don't have dual citizenship status refer to the International Student or Canadian page.

    Canadian Students

     

    1. Apply to Kuyper College for free at Kuyper.edu/apply.

       
    2. The Canadian Grant-in-Aid is awarded to every Kuyper College student from Canada who completes the Canadian Financial Aid Application. Canadian Need-Based Grants are available to Canadian students who complete the Canadian Financial Aid Application and demonstrate financial need. This aid is awarded on a rolling basis. Canadian students also benefit from a Kuyper College exchange-rate allowance of 50 percent and are eligible for the Canada Student Loan Program. Students should submit loan applications through their province’s ministry of education.

       
    3. Canadian students who do not have dual citizenship with the U.S. government, must complete the Canadian Financial Aid Application to receive a financial aid package.

    International Students

    4.  International Ambassador Scholarship (For students that desire to return to their home country to serve)
      This scholarship is awarded to international students majoring in Youth Ministry, Social Work, Sports Ministry, Music & Worship Studies, Dance & Worship Studies, Pre-Seminary Studies, Business Leadership, English Professional Studies or Intercultural Studies who will return to their home country and serve upon completing this education at Kuyper. This award includes up to 45% of total tuition, fees, room and board. A minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
       

     

    Thinking of returning to Kuyper? Readmission is available for former Kuyper students wishing to return. 

     

    1. Readmission applications are online at Kuyper.edu/Readmitted_Students. For priority scholarship consideration, we recommend applying by January 1, however, Kuyper accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.
