Commuter Students

As a commuter student you have access to all of the same facilities that an on campus student does. Learn more about Kuyper facilities. 

You can talk with the Student Life Coordinator in the Student Life Office to help you connect with other students who may live near you. 

You can check out the Kuyper Portal for a list of upcoming events. 

Commuter students may purchase a meal plan or individual meals. In an effort to best serve our commuting students, multi-punch meal cards and single ticket meal cards are available for purchase in the Business Office Monday - Friday. 

Even if you don't have a meal plan or meal ticket, students, faculty and staff are still invited to bring their sack lunches from home and eat in the dining hall with the rest of the community provided they have picked up a dining hall pass from the Student Life Office first. The dining hall menu is posted on the Kuyper Portal on a weekly basis for students to plan ahead if they so choose. 

A small kitchen off of the Rec Room and Commuter Lounge is provided for all students, but is especially handy for commuting students wishing to heat up a meal. There you'll find a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. 

There are also various vending machines throughout the campus if you need a snack on the go. 

There is a bulletin board in the Student Center that lists off campus housing opportunities. If you are looking for a roommate you can also post an ad on this board - just stop by the Student Life Office first.

Yes, all students need to register their vehicle. There are designated parking areas for students based on students class status. You will need to re-register when your class status changes from freshmen to sophomore, or if your vehicle information has changed. All students are charged an annual parking fee.
