The Kuyper College senior social work class has established the Grand Rapids Community Education Group and is sponsoring a professional development opportunity on April 6, 2013 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at Kuyper College.
FACES strives to connect Grand Rapids area professionals and members of the community in an effort to educate on the topic of adolescents in foster care - to learn about the needs and nature of the Grand Rapids foster care system. The seminar will include speakers presenting on firsthand experiences with the foster care system, sibling groups in foster care, and various types of foster care experiences. This event is free of charge and all are welcome.

*Hollie Hosford LLMSW from Bethany Christian Services will be speaking on "Foster Care and Effects on Teens". There will be 1 hour of continuing education credit (CEU) offered. A certificate from the event will also be available for any Foster care families in need of continuing education hours.
