  • A Hidden World Revealed

    Since his graduation from Kuyper in 1988, Mark Volkers lived for seven years with the Luo people of Kenya, spent over a decade in more traveling to 20 countries as a photojournalist and documentary film maker, and taught at Kuyper as a journalism/media studies adjunct professor. He currently heads the digital media production and media studies program at Dordt College in Iowa, where he lives with his wife and three children. Most recently, this distinguished Kuyper alumni produced and directed the internationally acclaimed and award winning documentary “The Fourth World” which exposes the hidden world of slums, in which approximately one sixth the earth’s population currently live. 
  • Fall Retreat 2013

    This year’s Fall Retreat continued the Kuyper tradition of getting together to enjoy one another’s company, have fun, and spend time with the Lord. Every year, Spiritual Life (SpiL) plans a retreat to provide students with a break from the stresses of school and encourage them in their spiritual walk. From Friday evening to Saturday afternoon the students enjoyed activities like ultimate Frisbee, swimming, football and a bon-fire on the beach at beautiful Camp Geneva, on the shores of Lake Michigan.  
  • Faculty Scholar Day 2013

    Faculty Scholar Day — an annual program that provides faculty members the opportunity to make presentations on a variety of topics and fields of study was recently held across the entire Kuyper campus. According to presenters and their audiences “it went wonderfully well, with enriching experiences for all who attended.”
