  • Old Psalms, New Sound

    The Gathering Sound Collective (TGSC) strives to bring congregational singing of the Psalms into less traditional churches. TGSC is the newest worship project of Kuyper alumni music majors Ethan Ezikian (2011), AJ Hochhalter (2012), and Matthew Hochhalter (2014). “We have been writing songs from the Psalms to help the contemporary church regain the singing of the Psalms in their worship,” explains AJ Hochhalter.

     The first annual Global Awareness and Advocacy Day, an all campus event highlighting students’ focusing on global issues, was held at Kuyper in December.
  • Kuyper Hosts Master of Social Work Fair

    Early last month college students from various schools in the area flooded Kuyper’s lower floor atrium to gather information about Master of Social Work programs offered by college and universities representative at the Kuyper sponsored Master Social Work Fair.
  • Winter Graduates

    December 23, 2014
    While most college graduates are honored in the spring, winter graduates often go unrecognized. Not so at Kuyper where during the annual December Recognition Chapel, students who have completed their programs at Kuyper in December rather than May are recognized and congratulated for their accomplishments. This year, fifteen students graduated in December.
  • Building Connections: Lunch ’n Learn

    December 22, 2014
    For Kuyper’s Lunch ‘n Learn, about 35 youth pastors from the Grand Rapids area gathered in Kuyper’s West Dining Hall to listen to the feature speaker. A collaboration between Kuyper’s Youth Ministry Program and Enrollment Department, the Lunch ‘n Learn series are monthly get-togethers which have been held for the past four years as a way to bring youth pastors on Kuyper’s campus and introduce them with one another.
