Providing students from Kuyper, Cornerstone, and Calvin with the opportunity to learn more about social work graduate programs and the admission processes for different schools, this year’s MSW Fair provided a great opportunity for all, especially current social work students. The fair is held annually at Kuyper College. This year several schools showcased their graduate MSW program including: Grand Valley State, University of Michigan, Western Michigan University, Michigan State University, Andrews University, Dominican University and Western Theological Seminary (which offers a dual program in social work and theology).
Students learned what is included in MSW education and the difference between the programs offered. They also learned what unique certificates they could work for with focuses available from substance abuse to school social work. This type of information is very useful for students considering or even just wondering about graduate work in the field of social work. Allowing them to be informed and understand the different options, the MSW Fair provided a great resource for students.
