Working Together to Save Lives

2013 Blood Drive It has become a Kuyper tradition to partner with Michigan Blood and host blood drives on campus to give students the opportunity to help save lives. The first drive of this school year was took place on Wednesday, September 24. Thirty one people signed in to try to donate. Even more exciting, nine people who donated were first time donors. The drive collected twenty three units of lifesaving blood, a good start for the year’s first drive. Michigan Blood told Kuyper that they “love the number of first time donors and as always, we enjoy being at Kuyper College and appreciate your support!” Many students get excited for the chance to help others, and this drive will help serve to create more interest for the next drive on December 4. This is just one of the many ways Kuyper students strive to “love thy neighbor as thyself.” (Mark 12:31)
