A Night on the Red Carpet—Christmas Banquet
December 20, 2013
The Kuyper family celebrated the Christmas season and enjoyed a lovely evening, during the annual Christmas Banquet. The occasion provided students and staff alike a much—appreciated break from end of semester pressure. Held at The Cultural Center, the evening glittered with gold decorations and the red of Christmas, reflected by the welcoming red-carpet that greeted guests at the entranceway. Faculty, staff, and students mingled before the meal enjoying tasty hors d'oeuvres, the photo booth, and each other’s company. The meal was served family—style, providing diners with the opportunity to eat their fill of the delicious food. The entertainment kept guests laughing, as River City Improv performed a side-splitting show, contriving clever sketches touching on topics from the Industrial Revolution to Shakespearean silliness.
After the meal, some hit the dance floor, others sat and talked, and others had fun with the photo booth until the end of the evening — where all felt it was a truly wonderful night.
