Opportunities also abound for snowmobiling, snowboarding, and downhill and cross-country skiing. Beautiful Lake Michigan and its vast beaches are only 40 minutes away, while Cannonsburg Ski Resort is a mere 15 minutes away. Big-city excitement, suburban convenience, the bounty of an outdoor paradise-Grand Rapids has it all.

Concerts are held frequently at DeVos Hall, Van Andel Arena, local churches, and other civic venues. Area baseball, hockey, and football teams include the Whitecaps, the Griffins, and the Rampage. Racing fans can satisfy their need for speed at the Berlin Raceway.
