Kuyper College is located on a beautiful, tranquil, wooded campus eight miles from downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan-ranked as one of the top 50 metropolitan areas in the United States (United States Census Bureau) With plenty of historic and modern points of interest, Grand Rapids offers all of  the advantages of life in a big city-theater, symphony, professional sports, ballet, opera, and world-class entertainers. Yet, it delivers all of those options with the friendly attitude and manners of a medium-sized midwestern city.

Grand Rapids is a city whose rich and varied Christian influence and heritage has won it the distinction of being Sailboards Grand Haven one of the best cities in the country in which to raise a family (The Chronicle of Philanthropy) In addition, one can find nature's wonderland just a few miles from our campus: crystal clear lakes, hundreds of miles of sugary-fine sandy beaches, national forests, famed golf courses, rivers teeming with game fish, and thousands of miles of hiking trails. Opportunities also abound for snowmobiling, snowboarding, and downhill and cross-country skiing. Beautiful Lake Michigan and its vast beaches are only 40 minutes away, while Cannonsburg Ski Resort is a mere 15 minutes away. Big-city excitement, suburban convenience, the bounty of an outdoor paradise-Grand Rapids has it all.

Because Kuyper College is located on one of the fastest-developing stretches of real estate in Grand Rapids, it's a college student's dream. Concerts are held frequently at DeVos HallVan Andel Arena, local churches, and other civic venues. Area baseball, hockey, and football teams include the Whitecaps, the Griffins, and the Rampage. Racing fans can satisfy their need for speed at the Berlin Raceway.

Grand Rapids is home to several hundred evangelical churches as well as many social service and para-church organizations, offering many opportunities for Christian service and field education.
