Technological Connectivity
Kuyper College is wired for learning with information-technology equipment and services running throughout the campus. This includes audio and visually enhanced classrooms and wireless networking. The campus network can be accessed from all classrooms, dorm rooms, and other rooms on campus, providing Internet access to all faculty, staff, and students.
Students have access to a computer lab with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software as well as Internet and e-mail access. The computer lab is located on the first floor of the Academic Building. There are also two study rooms located in the residence halls which are open 24 hours a day and have several computers available for student use. Computers with specialty software are available in the library.
All computers on campus have access to the Internet and the campus intranet. The intranet is often used by professors to post information on their classes. E-mail accounts are provided for all full-time and part-time students. Remote access to library and online services are available with a password sign-on.
Kuyper College also has state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment available for instructional use, including TVs, VCRs, DVD players, video cameras, and audio equipment.
Kuyper students are up-to-date with today's Internet opportunities. The College has active networking communities using tools such as Facebook and Twitter, which many students are a part of. These resources are just one more way for students to feel connected to the rest of the campus community.
