Spiritual Development and Integration

The Grand Rapids area is a well-known center of Christian faith andStudent Praying activity, with countless churches and para-church organizations of just about every denomination from which to choose. These churches and organizations also provide opportunities for field education, internships, and other service within the community. All new students are given a list of local churches and other Christian organizations upon arriving on campus. Students often form regular carpools for travel to Sunday services.

Of course, the College also offers numerous opportunities for personal and spiritual growth through faith-promoting organizations and activities.

Student Life Team

The Student Life Team challenges and supports students to grow and mature into people of God who are prepared to serve in his kingdom. This mission is accomplished by supporting the academic programs of the College and by providing learning experiences outside the classroom that strengthen the spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual, social, and cultural development of students.

Student Life Team Contacts:

Bible Studies

Weekly Bible studies are led by resident assistants on each residence hall floor. There are also Bible study opportunities for students living off campus.

Chapel

The purpose of chapel at Kuyper College is to glorify God through a time of worship and fellowship. The desire is that all members of the Kuyper community are challenged and edified through our common bond in Christ.
Chapel is held three times a week-Monday, Wednesday, and Friday-at 10 a.m. Students, staff, and faculty join together for a time of worship, reflection, prayer, and community. Featured speakers include pastors in the Grand Rapids community, alumni, board members, students, members of faculty and staff, and others ready to share their messages of faith and hope.

If you're interested in finding out more about the chapel program, contact Greg Alley, instructor of music and worship coordinator, galley@kuyper.eduor call (616) 988-3683.
