    Group of Students

The Student Life Office is committed to leadership development in the students at Kuyper. One big opportunity for this leadership development is for students to be involved in student clubs and committees.

Something that makes Kuyper’s Student Life department a little bit different than what other colleges have is the fact that we encouragstudents to start their own clubs and committees. We want you to come to Kuyper and be able to participate in something you are passionate about. If a club or committee doesn’t exist in the area that you are interested in, we help you get it started.

Check out our list of current clubs and committees:

    SAC (Student Activities Committee)
SAC exists to offer a variety of vibrant social experiences for the Kuyper community. Whether you want to plan Christmas Banquet, advertise a late night bowling event or design a halftime show for a basketball game, SAC may be the committee for you.
Friendly competition and fun guide the activities that intramurals plans. Help decide events—whether it be 3x3 basketball tournaments, dodge ball, minute to win it or Frisbee golf.
    Spiritual Life Committee
With two focuses (Chapel and Campus Ministries), SpiL provides events, retreats and Bible studies opportunities for spiritual growth on campus.
    Student Government
Speaking on behalf of the student body, Student Government is made up of representatives from each class—elections for open positions (including Freshman Representative) occur in September.
    Photography Club
Do you enjoy taking pictures and have a passion for photography? We need your help chronicling the events and happenings at Kuyper throughout the year. Whether your camera is a DSLR or simply your phone, we want your pictures!
HANDS (Helping and Nurturing During Service)
With a focus on serving our community and seeking Social Justice—HANDS seeks to encourage the Kuyper community to serve and become more aware of the world around them.
    Youth Ministry Club
Each month this group gathers together to encourage each other, learn something about youth ministry in the West Michigan area and have lots of fun doing it. Open to all youth ministry majors, minors, and volunteers!
PRISM is a group for International and global students. It is a place where they can adjust to cultural differences, celebrate diversity, and explore the great Grand Rapids area through service opportunities and fun.
    Friday Night Kicks
Want to get moving, stay active and get your dance on? Friday night kicks meets about once a month for a fusion of Zumba and Latin Dance.
Proving that writing can be fun, Inklings (the writing club on campus) has free write nights, poetry nights and get togethers to stimulate creativity.
    Boardgame Club
Love board games? So does much of the Kuyper community. Join the Board Game Club and plan events, learn and teach new games and build Kuyper’s collection of games for students to check out.
