This is Professor Christine Moran’s third year at Kuyper College. She previously served 6 years as Athletic Director and teacher of Physical Education at both the middle school and high school levels. Her coaching experience includes basketball, volleyball, and soccer. Professor Moran’s initial courses at Kuyper will include Fitness for Life, Volleyball, and Individualized Physical Education. She is passionate about teaching the fundamentals of wellness which emphasize a lifelong commitment and Christian responses to health and fitness. As Athletic Director, Christine oversees the Men's and Women's Basketball programs which are part of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), as well as club soccer and club volleyball. The 2007-08 school year was the inaugural year for intercollegiate athletics at the College, and the student body came out in full force to loudly support the Kuyper Cougars. Professor Moran is committed to further building and developing the athletic program and is already looking to the future and the introduction of additional sports teams.
“My goal as a professor is to start with helping my students understand that our bodies are created in God’s image and that we are accountable for taking care of God’s temple. In the classroom I will be focusing on being fit for life—both physically and spiritually ."
Professor Moran is married to Chad Moran and their son Aidan is 1 year old. Her favorite sports to play are softball and basketball. In her senior year playing softball for Cornerstone University, her team played in the National Championship. Professor Moran enjoys spending time with family and friends, and some of her hobbies are reading, fishing, and skiing.
