Professor Gregory Alley is the Worship Coordinator for the College chapel services which are held three times each week in the Vos Chapel. Additionally, he teaches courses in Music History, Basic Musicianship, and leads an instrumental ensemble.
Professor Alley joined Kuyper College in 2007, after a 23-year performing career with the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, New York. Prior to West Point, Greg's performing credits included The Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra, The Lansing Symphony Orchestra and Brass Quintet, and the Michigan State University Faculty Brass Quintet.
“I’m excited to begin an academic career with Kuyper College after my years of performing. My desire is to offer those performance experiences to help the students here achieve their musical goals and have a richly rewarding life as Christian musicians. Chapel services at Kuyper College are student led, which keeps them vibrant and alive. As Worship Coordinator, I oversee a great team whose goal is to give God the worship He deserves in ways that are relevant to our daily lives on campus.”
Greg and his wife, Deb, have four daughters and reside in Hudsonville, Michigan. Their family activities include reading, photography, and sailing.
