"Social work students are the future of the profession. There is no greater thrill than helping a student discover their hidden potentials, develop a personal worldview and create a 'professional self.'"
Social work education is a passion of Professor Scott. His goal is to mold minds and develop skills as a Christian who does social work. "Abraham Kuyper would see social work as an important and necessary component of a Christian college education." Professor Scott, along with his wife, Carol, are active in the Vineyard Church. He plays Latin percussion, is proud of his daughter, Lindsay, who teaches second grade in New York City and enjoys watching his son Derek's collegiate track and field meets.
