Professor Maddox began teaching at Kuyper College as an adjunct instructor in 2000. She joined the faculty in 2004 as a professor of theological studies and is currently in the process of completing her Ph.D. Professor Maddox teaches Introduction to Philosophy and a variety of courses for the Bible and theology department, including Christian Doctrine I and II, Creeds and Confessions, and Doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
"In whatever course I teach, I am not only concerned that students learn the content of a subject, but that they learn to think critically about that content and to engage other ideas and perspectives thoughtfully and graciously. I thoroughly enjoy talking with and getting to know my students both inside and outside the classroom."
Professor Maddox is married and has a toddler at home. Some of her favorite things to do, other than teaching, include taking walks with her family, gardening, reading and playing with her daughter.
