Accreditation and Degrees
Kuyper College is incorporated under the laws of the state of Michigan as a four-year college and is authorized by the state of Michigan to grant the baccalaureate degree.
Kuyper College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Higher Learning Commission, 30 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, IL 60602-2504, (800) 621-7400, and the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education, 5575 S. Semoran Blvd., Suite 26, Orlando, FL 32822-1781, (407) 207-0808, to award the Associate of Arts, Associate of Religious Education, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Social Work degrees. Since the College is dually accredited, students have a much easier time gaining entrance into graduate schools.
The social work department is accredited by the Council of Social Work Education. BSW graduates may be able to qualify for advanced standing in graduate school.
In addition, the College is listed by the United States Department of Education in the Directory of Accredited Institutions of Higher Learning. The College is approved by the United States Department of Justice for the training of international students.
The College also holds memberships in a number of regional and national professional organizations in order to maintain the highest of standards, to strengthen itself, and to keep abreast of current developments in educational trends.
