Career Development and Field Education
Career Development and Field Education are critical components of TheKee - The Kuyper Educational Experience. One of the aspects of TheKee, is our Career Development process. It prepares students to be competent and confident in any profession, not just in pastoral or seminary settings. Another feature of TheKee, Field Education provides students an opportunity to integrate theory with practical application, which not only confirms classroom theory, but also confirms the student's vocational call.
Kuyper College's growing curriculum currently offers degree programs in a wide area of studies. A major plus, is that in addition to majoring in their chosen academic areas, our students also complete work toward a major in Bible and theology. This educational process, which combines high-quality academics and spiritual training, results in a graduate who is both extremely capable and spiritually grounded, helping Kuyper graduates to become leaders in whatever area of endeavor they choose.
At Kuyper College, the student-to-faculty ratio is 15 to 1. This small classroom environment means every student receives the level of personalized attention he or she needs to excel. Faculty and staff members make it a point to be readily accessible to all students seeking guidance, whether it be academic, spiritual, or personal in nature.
Hands-on experience in real-world situations-is a major part of the Kuyper education and Career Development process. By the time students are ready to serve in internships, or enter the workaday world, the experience they've gained has helped to hone their skills and bring their goals into sharp focus. It is no surprise that we're always getting positive feedback from internship sponsors and employers on the integrity and abilities of our students and alumni. Kuyper College graduates are well prepared to serve God throught their calling, in their communities and throughout the world.
