Kuyper College Choir Performs Advent Concert

Under the direction of Professor Kai Ton Chau, the Kuyper College Choir recently performed their annual Advent Concert at Vos Chapel.  Choir members performed corporately and in several smaller ensembles throughout the service. The theme of the concert focused on the coming of the Lord Jesus and the hope of his second coming during this Advent season.

The program included music of a variety of styles – traditional, Taize, African, classical, and contemporary. According to Professor Chau, “the variety of styles and the different sounds of the pieces glorify God through the creativity of music.”

Pieces were accompanied on the organ by Dr. Joan Rinerwole, a Kuyper adjunct instructor and on piano by student accompanists Becca Eckhoff and Justin Leasure and Professor Carol Hochhalter.
