Michael Wiggers, Head Coach

Prior to coaching at Kuyper, Coach Wiggers coached volleyball at the varsity level for 15 years at various schools including: Yokohama International Schools in Japan; King’s Academy in Illinois, and Algoma Christian School and Sparta High School in Michigan.
For 12 years Coach Wiggers played volleyball for various United States Navy teams in Japan, Australia, Italy, Maine and Illinois. During that time his teams won various major championship titles such as the Western Australia Volleyball Championship, Northern New England Regional Championship, Commander Naval Forces Japan Championship and runner-up for the All Pacific Championship. Additionally, while stationed in Australia, he had the honor of being chosen to play for the Royal Australian Navy Volleyball team.
Coach Wiggers received his Bachelor's degree in Technical Education from Southern Illinois University and holds an Associate of Arts in Electronic Technology from the University of Phoenix.
