Kuyper College to offer seminar on the Emerging Church movement
Seeking to provide a forum for intelligent discussion on a wide range of issues confronting orthodox Christian thought, Kuyper College will be offering a unique learning experience this fall. Voices of Emergence is an innovative course featuring, and conducted in-person by three leaders from the Emergent movement. The seminars will be held over three weekends and may be taken for college credit.

September 15 & 16 – Doug Pagitt
Doug is the pastor of Solomon’s Porch, a holistic, missional Christian community in Minneapolis. He is active in both Emergent, a generative friendship among missional Christian leaders seeking to love our world in the Spirit of Jesus Christ, and The Gospel and Our Culture Network, an accomplished author, he has written Church Re-Imagined, Preaching Re-Imagined, and BodyPrayer.
October 20 & 21 – Tim Keel
Tim Keel is the founding pastor of Jacob’s Well Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He is passionate about creating spaces for people to connect to God, themselves and others and serves on the board of directors for Emergent. Tim is also author of the study questions found in the A New Kind of Christian Trilogy.
November 10 & 11 – Chris Seay
Chris Seay is a leader in the emerging church discussion. He was the founding pastor of University Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, one of the earliest examples of generational church planting. Currently, Chris pastors Ecclesia of Houston, and is author of The Gospel According to Tony Soprano, The Gospel Reloaded, and Faith of my Fathers.
