Applying for Financial Aid

  • First-Year Students
    1. Apply to Kuyper College for free at Kuyper.edu/apply.
For priority scholarship consideration, we recommend applying by January 1, however Kuyper accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applications received after January 1 will be processed with financial aid as long as funding is available.

    2. Register for your FSA ID at FSAID.ed.gov
Your electronic signature for the FAFSA is a FSA ID (username and password) that you must use to log in. It must be obtained individually for the student and, if applicable, for a parent of the student.

    3. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov.
The FAFSA is available online January 1 of each year. This is the doorway to government assistance in paying for your higher education. There is a priority deadline of March 1 for Michigan residents. Check with your state government to find out the priority deadline for your state. We will use the information provided by the FAFSA to award scholarships, grants and loans.

    4. You may receive a request from us for more information. Please reply as quickly as possible so we can provide you with the best award package possible.

    5. Award letters will be sent out in March or after all of the required information has been received.

    6. View our Scholarship page for information regarding academic and other scholarships, grants and outside scholarship resources.

Canadian students who have dual citizenship in the United States will qualify for U.S. government aid. If you don't have dual citizenship status, refer to the International Student or Canadian page.
