Complimentary Youth Ministry Lunch ‘n Learn
Gather to Nourish Yourself and Your Ministry!
Please Join us on Thursday, March 23rd when we will host Lateefah Gofoe, Grand Rapids Urban Area Director of Western Great Lakes Young Life – who will share viewpoints the topic of “Aucacious Inclusiveness” recounting specifically how Young Life is approaching diversity and how the Kingdom of God demands our boldness in this time.
Born and raised here in Grand Rapids and in the community day-to-day, Lateefah Gofoe is building teams of volunteers to do life with tweens and teens in the urban core of Grand Rapids. On Thursday, she will share with us the topic of “Audacious Inclusiveness”
Since 2010, Lateefah has served in various volunteer roles for Young Life (YL) and finds great happiness and fulfillment in taking kids to YL camp each summer. Energized by a background that includes plenty of music and dancing, Lateefah loves that YL is accessible and relevant to all and that each year kids are swept away in the pure joy of camp. With a song in her heart, Lateefah encourages boldness in those that might otherwise be shy. She is excited and exhilarated by the greatness of God and “all of the young people he wants to get to know more deeply.”
In addition to graduating Cum Laude from Howard University in Washington, DC, Lateefah studied International Business and Finance and responded and went on to complete her MPA (Master of Public Administration) at Grand Valley State University. She also holds an Associate of Arts from GRCC in Music and Recording Arts Technology.
Lunch will be served at 12:15pm in our West Dining Hall - compliments of Kuyper’s Enrollment Office. The program will begin at 12:50pm. Please RSVP to the Lunch ‘n Learn 3 days before the event: Contact Brian Telzerow at 616.988.3704 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please reserve Thursday, April 20th for this season’s closing event.
We look forward to seeing you!
