The accounting program will prepare you to seek licensing as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as you refine your skills in analysis and problem solving. You will graduate equipped to make ethical, sound decisions and to contribute to the growth and development of both individuals and organizations.
Kuyper College provides two unique collaborative accounting programs. Kuyper's registrar will be your academic advisor and will work closely with you to help you navigate the program requirements.
Kuyper College and Cornerstone University have partnered together to create a collaborative program where you will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Cornerstone University is a like-minded, accredited, Christian liberal arts college just two miles south of Kuyper.
Kuyper College and Davenport University have partnered together to create a collaborative program where you will receive a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Kuyper, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a focus on Information Management from Davenport University. Davenport University is an accredited college of business just 15 miles south of Kuyper.

Certified Public Accountant
You may also elect to continue your studies to meet the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) requirements. The state of Michigan requires 150 credit hours to become a Certified Public Accountant. While some Kuyper accounting graduates pursue a master's degree in a related field to meet the 150-hour requirement, most students couple the accounting program with selected business leadership classes to fulfill the requirements for the CPA certification.
By choosing to pursue this option, you will be trained to obtain positions such as:
- Certified Public Accountant
- Certified Management Accountant
- Financial Manager
- Internal or External Auditor
- Personal Financial Planner
- Manufacturing Accountant
Double Major Option
Kuyper students value a strong grounding in Bible and theology that equips them both professionally and personally. Without adding any time to your Accounting program, selecting a double major option will provide a firm foundation as you prepare for a life of ministry and service. The Bible and theology core can be expanded into a major with a simple shift of a few elective courses.
Your internship will give you hands-on experience as you apply the principles, skills and techniques learned in the classroom. You will experience the challenges of working in the field of accounting and will graduate with real-world experience and a strong resumé.
As a graduate of this program, you will be trained to work in:
- Personal Financial Planning
- Business Accountancy
- Production Management
- Manufacturing Accounting
