Reformation Make Anyway?"
Bio: Carl Zylstra is currently concluding a nine month appointment as Interim President of Kuyper College after serving 16 years as President of Dordt College and five years as Executive Director of the Association of Reformed Colleges and Universities. An ordained pastor in the Christian Reformed Church in North America, he has served pastorates in the Chicago area as well Northwest Iowa. He also has lectured internationally on Christian Higher education and convened Global Summits on Reformed Christian Higher Education in France, England, and the Netherlands as well as moderating Roundtables on Educational and Civic Leadership in New York City. Zylstra has served as a board member or trustee of numerous associations and organizations including the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, Calvin College, and Calvin Theological Seminary. Publications include contributions to books published in Australia, Korea, and the United States. In addition to an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Calvin College, Dr. Zylstra holds an M.Div. from Calvin Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Bio: Jeff Fisher is Interim Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Theological Studies at Kuyper College in Grand Rapids, MI. He has an M.Div. and Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a Th.M. from Calvin Seminary. He is ordained in the Christian Reformed Church in North America.
Dr. Lyle Bierma
P.J. Zondervan Professor of the History of Christianity, Calvin Theological Seminary

Title of Presentation: "The Role of Confessions during the
Bio: Lyle Bierma joined the faculty at Calvin Theological Seminary 1999 after nineteen years of teaching doctrine and church history at Reformed Bible College (now Kuyper College). As a child, he spent several years in Nigeria as part of a missionary family, and more recently he has done short-term teaching stints at seminaries in Nigeria, Brazil, India, Serbia, and Indonesia. Lyle is the translator or co-translator of ten German, Dutch, and Latin books and the author of The Covenant Theology of Caspar Olevianus (1996; 2d ed., 2005), The Doctrine of the Sacraments in the Heidelberg Catechism (1999), An Introduction to the Heidelberg Catechism (2005), and The Theology of the Heidelberg Catechism: A Reformation Synthesis (2013). He is currently working on a book on John Calvin’s doctrine of baptism as a means of grace. Lyle is married with two grown children and four grandchildren. His interests include reading, travel, tennis, and playing table tennis with seminary students less than half his age.
