Jennifer Colin

Jennifer Colin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Taylor University and a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University, Following graduate school she served as the director of a maternity home for single mothers and therapist for a group of pregnancy care centers. Several years later she transitioned into school social work, which led to positions as school counselor and eventually school administrator in two West Michigan charter school districts (as well as two additional Master’s degrees in the process).

In 2021 she followed God’s nudging to apply at Kuyper, where she currently serves as Associate Professor of Social Work and Social Work Program Director. Professor Colin loves teaching social work because it equips students to make a difference in the lives of others and restore justice in God’s world. Outside of academics, she enjoys reading, trivia games, documentaries, and photography.
