Student Support Services is focused on helping students succeed, in and out of the classroom. It offers a variety of services including the Student Success Program, an example of Kuyper’s commitment to every student.
Student Success Program
At Kuyper, we want every student to succeed. And we provide the resources to ensure that success. We pair each freshman one-on-one with an upper-class level student who serves as their student success coach. They listen, encourage, and champion them. Student success coaches help students thrive in all aspects of life. Academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. They provide care and direction on a wide range of topics, such as the transition to college, understanding study skills, plus accountability to assignments, what healthy friendships are, and how to build a support system.

- Accommodations for students with disabilities include, but are not limited to:
– Alternative test arrangements

Career Services
Career Services (CS) helps guide students and alumni through a life-planning process, including the development of professional skills, opportunity awareness, personalized assessment, and exposure to out-of-classroom learning experiences. In collaboration with Kuyper’s academic and non-academic departments, CS’ objective is to equip students to integrate their faith and calling, pointing them to influence the world for Christ.
Career Services offers help in various areas, including:
- Resume and cover letter writing
- Choosing a major
- Pursuing an internship
- Learning how to network
- Facilitating vocational and personality assessments, including the Strong Interest Inventory and the Strengths Finder or Strengths Quest tests
- Exploring graduate schools and seminaries

Employment Opportunities
Many employers in the area post job openings in their companies or ministries on the Kuyper employment board. You can find job postings here.
Counseling
Kuyper provides resources and support for “the whole person,” which gives you the opportunity to examine yourself and your environment to help you make the most of your time at Kuyper.
The College Counseling Center exists to facilitate the psychological and social wellness of the student community. There is a counseling supervisor who oversees graduate-level counseling interns.
Students can take advantage of the College Counseling Center services for a variety of reasons. From coping with the pressures of an academic environment to adjusting to college life. And from learning to be more effective in developing relationships with others to help with depression or anxiety.
Free services that are available through the College Counseling Center include:
- Individual counseling
- Couples counseling
- Group counseling
- Psychoeducational workshops

Dining Services
Kuyper’s dining services provide wonderful meals every day for our community.
The dining hall provides:
- Two hot entrees for lunch and dinner
- Sandwich bar
- Soup bar
- Salad bar
- Box lunches to go
- Special meals to celebrate together, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas

Information Technology
Kuyper’s Information Technology (IT) Office can help you with your IT issues. With a completely wireless campus, you are welcome to bring your own personal computer to access the Internet through your personal Kuyper account. Printers and computer labs are also available.
