Spiritual Development

During your college years, you’ll develop a good part of your life’s foundation.  Academic skills, lifelong values, and friendships.  The Kuyper community will also encourage you to grow spiritually.

Spiritual Development Programs

In addition to experiencing mentoring relationships with faculty and staff, you will have opportunities for spiritual growth through chapel, worship services, Bible studies, and campus ministries.

Chapel and Worship

The Reformed faith teaches us that all of life is worship, and we believe, along with Abraham Kuyper, that Jesus is Lord over every square inch of creation and every moment of our lives.

While all of life is meant to glorify God, we have the privilege every Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 a.m. to gather as a community and spend time singing, praying, hearing Scripture proclaimed as well as a variety of other Christian practices.

Chapel takes a variety of forms, involving students, faculty and staff, and guest speakers. We love that God has gathered people together at Kuyper College from around the world–our gathered worship reflects that.

Join us in worship!

For more information about chapel, please contact Al Moss at amoss@kuyper.edu.

Ora et Labora

Ora et Labora is the motto on the College’s seal. Translated to English as “Pray and Work,” the motto represents the College’s commitment to vocational preparation, discernment of calling, academic faithfulness, and spiritual formation.

The phrase is originally seen in The Rule of St. Benedict, a 6th-century book written to Christian communities that live and learn together. It has been adapted at Kuyper College in light of the guidance of Augustine of Hippo, John Calvin, and Abraham Kuyper.

Ora et Labora is a collaborative offering of the Academic Office and student development that encourages student learning and engagement on a variety of relevant issues in the marketplace, the church, and throughout society.

Join us at 10:00 am on Thursdays in the Vos Chapel for Ora Et Labora.
