2018 Spring Celebration Gala

On an incredibly non-spring-like evening on April 16, the annual Kuyper College Spring Celebration Gala took place at Fredrik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids. While the outside temperatures may have been unseasonably cold, inside the Gala, the atmosphere was filled with warmth as hundreds of Kuyper College alumni, faculty, friends, and staff came together to celebrate another year of ministry throughout the world. We were blessed to hear Mandy Taylor a current student who shared how she was prepared at Kuyper to be Ready to serve. Eric VanderWall a graduate of Kuyper shared how he was Rooted in a biblical Reformed worldview, and Dr. Jeff Fisher, Interim Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Biblical Studies shared how students and alumni of Kuyper are Called to serve Christ’s church and his world. As further reassurance of God’s grace and the impact Kuyper has, the Kuyper College Service Award was presented as well. This year the award was presented to Vincente and Lucy Apostol and their family who have served the Christian Reformed Church as missionaries.
