The Kuyper Lamp:

Kuyper College gives the Kuyper Lamp to graduates as a symbol of their calling to be "a light in a dark world" (Matthew 5:14-15). The lamp is a reminder to the graduates of their calling that brought them to Kuyper and of the charge given by the President at graduation that they are now to "Go! Let your light shine!"

The various woods of the Kuyper Lamp are symbolic of the international scope and diverse student body of the institution, reflective of Revelation 5:9-10.

The College medallion, ora et labora (pray and work), reflects the purpose of Kuyper College to equip God's people for Christian ministry and service throughout the world.

Central to learning at Kuyper College is God's Word, represented by the lamp. The other symbols are the crown of faith, the anchor of hope, and the cloak of loving service.

Our prayers go with the graduates as they reach this new milestone in their lives of service to our Lord and Savior.
