Library Resources and Services

The Zondervan Library provides extensive and comprehensive academic print and online resources and services to students, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as the general public. The Library also provides resources on a state and national scale through interlibrary loan programs with institutions across the United States.

Catalog

The Cornerstone University Library Network (CULN)—Cornerstone University’s Miller Library, the Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary’s library, and the Kuyper College Zondervan Library utilize a shared online catalog in order to provide expanded resources and “borrowing power.” Each library maintains its own collections and identity in order to support the curriculum of each respective institution. The same borrowing and lending policies apply to each library.

Kuyper OneSearch

Beyond the Library homepage, Kuyper OneSearch can be accessed at the “Library Resources” tab in Sakai, the Kuyper College course management system. Kuyper OneSearch pulls together Library tools so they can be searched in one place. Use Kuyper OneSearch to find: print books, eBooks, peer-reviewed research articles, academic videos, news articles, and much more!

Online Library

Many online resources may be accessed through Kuyper OneSearch. Additional resources are available through Sakai, the Kuyper College course management system. These library resources are located in each course in Sakai as well as in the Student Portal and Staff/Faculty Portal. These include research guides, interlibrary loan, video tutorials, MeL Cat instructions, copyright/plagiarism, fair use policies, and more.

On-Site Library Resources

The entrance to the Library is on the second floor of the classroom/administration building. Here you will find the check-out/information area, current periodicals and newspapers, reference materials, and the Library collection.

There are a variety of study spaces throughout the Library, including individual and group workspaces. Natural light and soft seating make the Library an inviting space for praying, working, and gathering. Computers and a copy/print station are available.

Why is the library called the Zondervan Library?

The Library is named in honor of P. J. Zondervan, the founder of Zondervan Publishing House in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and his wife, Mary. Zondervan was an active member of the founding board of trustees for the College. Since 1991, the Library has housed one of the two repository collections for Zondervan Publishing, holding in its collection a copy of every book and Bible published or yet to be published by Zondervan.

What is the Cornerstone University Library Network?

The Kuyper College Zondervan Library shares our circulation policies with the Cornerstone University Library Network (CULN). View these policies here.
