Join us as we welcome Kevin Timpe.  Kevin is a member of the Philosophy Department at Calvin University, one of his areas of research is Philosophy of Disability.  He has written several books including The Lost Sheep In Philosophy of Religion: New Perspectives on Disability, Gender, Race and Animals and Disability and Inclusive Communities.

His presentation will be geared toward best practices in language to us in the area of ability and disability — that is, things that are acceptable and unacceptable when speaking about ability and disability.

The Ora et Labora (pray and work)  program features speakers and hosts conversations on their perspectives on pressing issues related to ministry, culture, society and work. As speakers share how their faith impacts the work they do, there is ample opportunity for students and guests to participate during Q&A sessions.
