Please join us on Thursday, April 21, 2022, when we will host Dave Rahn (PhD, Purdue University). Dave began working with Youth for Christ in 1972 before joining Huntington University faculty in 1985, where he taught for 30+ years. He has published more than 100 articles, essays and books and collaborates widely to unleash adolescent influence, convinced that “once-aimless teens can turn the tide of culture when they’re captivated by Christ.” His most recent co-authored book is Disrupting Teens with Joy (2020). Retiring from Youth For Christ USA in 2020, Dave serves on a number of boards and is Senior Research Consultant for both the Arbor Research Group and Fuller Youth Institute, especially engaged in the Ten 10 Collaboration (tenx10.org). But mostly he enjoys grandparenting from his home in Middlebury, IN, with Susie, his wife of 45 years
Dave’s topic will be Engaging Youth Ministry’s Collaborative Frontier of Discipleship.
The Ora et Labora (pray and work) program features speakers and hosts conversations on their perspectives on pressing issues related to ministry, culture, society and work. As speakers share how their faith impacts the work they do, there is ample opportunity for students and guests to participate during Q&A sessions.
The Lunch ‘n Learn program will begin promptly at 11:30 a.m. in our dining hall as part of Kuyper’s Ora et Labora initiative, followed by lunch and table discussions. Adjourn time will be 1:00 p.m.
