Marc Andreas

Associate Professor of Business Leadership, Business Leadership Program Director
B. A. (University of Iowa, 1996) M.B.A. (University of Iowa, 2001)

Professor Andreas is a disciple of Jesus Christ, a proud husband, and father of seven children ages 11 – 23. He is the Director of Kuyper College’s Business Leadership Program, which offers Associate’s & Bachelor’s degrees that emphasizes social enterprise and a Christian view of business that helps communities flourish. He has held various executive positions with companies such as Pella Corporation, NetValue Sports, and Bethany Christian Services where he served as vice president of marketing & communications for nine years. He has also been an adjunct professor of business at Cornerstone University. He attended Dordt College and is a graduate of the University of Iowa with an MBA (2001). He loves teaching and mentoring students, and enjoys sharing from the wealth of 20 years of experience he has gained in corporate America, nonprofits, and starting his own business.

Professor Andreas primarily focuses on teaching marketing, management, and leadership courses as he brings in marketplace experience in all of these areas. Students entering the Business Leadership program often will have him teach their first course in Intro to Business & Leadership. One of Professor Andreas’ favorite courses is Leadership in the National Parks (BU230), where he leads a small class of 10-20 students on an 8-day trip to either California or the Rocky Mountains to visit and meet leaders who run some of the United States’ most famous national parks. These include places like Yellowstone National Park, Grand Tetons National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Sequoia National Park.

As the Program Director for the Business Leadership program, Professor Andreas has built the program to include an emphasis on the triple bottom line where students learn how to run a business with a combination of financial responsibility (profit), social responsibility (people), and environmental responsibility (planet). Professor Andreas has assembled an experienced set of adjunct faculty members with diverse backgrounds including age, gender, race, and a wide variety of experiences in different industries. His goal for his students is to prepare them for a great career in any size of business or nonprofit that helps make God’s world a better place.
