Hope Jones Joins Kuyper’s Advancement Office as a Marketing Specialist
Hope Jones is the first-ever Marketing Specialist
for the Advancement Office at Kuyper College.
A 2024 graduate of Ferris State University, Jones comes to Kuyper with strong writing and editing skills developed while studying English language and literature. She plans to apply her talents by creating content for Kuyper’s social media channels, website and print materials that can better connect the College to prospective students, alumni and other key Kuyper stakeholders
“I love words in general, which led me to study English,” Jones said. “There are so many different paths you can choose with an English degree, so I decided to pursue a role in a supportive, growing community.”
During her time at Ferris, Jones gained marketing experience by serving as a Social Media Manager for the university and completing an internship with the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity. These roles, in addition to time spent as president of a sorority, led to both personal and professional development, Jones said.
“When I went to Ferris, I found myself growing as a leader through my work and Greek life,” she noted. “It made me love higher education and being part of different communities.”
The adjustment from a large, public university to Kuyper represents a welcome change in size and scenery for Jones. As part of a class of 1,500 students, Jones became used to being part of a large campus environment, but she looks forward to being part of a more intimate community where she can get to know students and staff members on a personal level.
Jones is also excited to join a Christian community where she can deepen her faith and follow up on a calling she has felt.
“I grew up Presbyterian, and during the pandemic, I struggled to find faith when things were going wrong,” Jones said. “When the opportunity arose to join Kuyper, I felt a sense of God trying to tell me something, a chance to find something meaningful.”
Outside of her work, Jones enjoys spending time with her relatives in Cadillac, Mich. She is an avid reader, movie viewer, and gaming enthusiast with a deep love of fantasy, science fiction and Star Wars.
